The Southern States Mastiff Fanciers Calendar is our club's primary fundraiser for Mastiff Rescue.

All Profits go to Mastiff Rescue through our sister charitable trust Southern States Mastiff Rescue  www.sosmastiffrescue.org                SSMF Mastiff Calendars are now purchased and collected not only by the SSMF membership but by mastiff enthusiasts around the world. To enter the contest read the rules below and submit as many photos as you wish!

EACH Mastiff photo entered will be featured in our online gallery for at least one full year! So every Mastiff entered will be a star!

 
Rules and photo submission guidelines are below- read carefully before submitting

SSMF Mastiff Calendars are the ideal Christmas gift and make wonderful presents for your family, friends, veterinarians etc....and all to support and spread the word about Mastiff Rescue.

  • Contest is open to EVERYONE. Each month of the year will feature one winning photo!
  • The Cover Of The SSMF Calendar is chosen from SSMF member submissions only as a privilege of continued support of SSMF
  •  Agree with our Code Of Ethics? Why Not join us! SSMF welcomes new members from all areas.  Join SSMF & compete for the calendar cover too!
  • Contest Runs through July 17th, 2008
  • (No show win photos & no people in photos) 
  • .Photos may be submitted via email, or through the regular mail. Addresses at right
  • Price: $10.00 per submission (photo) There is no limit per household/owner! You can pay by mail or pay online using Paypal (Top right)
12 photos selected for the calendar months

& One additional photo is chosen for the cover

Judging Criteria:  Photos are judged on 3 points

  1. Photo Quality (resolution, focus of subject, layout and creativity)
  2. Content of the photo  - charismatic quality of dogs in photo, no show (win) photos, No people in the pictures, other animals are allowed in photos
  3. Relevance to a calendar  (seasonal and holiday) after all this a calendar photo contest!

Remember:  No show photos and no people in the photos The dogs are the stars!

  • Judging will be done by a 3-member independent panel who may pay to submit photos for the gallery but whose entries will not be considered for the calendar contest.

 

COPYRIGHT INFO
By submitting photos for the contest, you must own the photos.
By submitting them you give SSMF the copyright to use them for this contest or for any other future SSMF/SSMR fund-raising events or activities.

You must pay before submitting photos

Online payments can be made at the below paypal link now! Be sure to scroll down and type your name and your dogs name in the space provided on the paypal form so we know whose photos are being paid for.
 EMAIL the photo files with your name and the name of your dogs pictured in each photo to millcreekx@mchsi.com
MUST INCLUDE WITH YOUR SUBMISSION 
1. The Dog/Dogs name (call name &/or registered)
2. Owners/co-owners name/s

Example: Intl. Ch. Lionhearted Duke of Henley, CGC  -- Owned and Loved by Anne, Darby & Marcus Santora

Note: By submitting photos for the contest, you are giving SSMF the copyright to the photos for this contest or possibly even for future SSMF fund-raising events or activities.

Digital Photos
Resolution of  400KB  and 1500x1000 pixels MINIMUM
Can be sent via email, or disk – THE HIGHER THE RESOLUTION THE BETTER!

To submit hard-copy photos and/or to pay offline:

  • If at all possible send 8x10 of photo. If you retain the negative have it redeveloped in an 8x10 size

  • Please indicate your name, the name/s of your dog and mail photos and checks payable to SSMF to:.
